Happy Anniversary to us. In case you were not at the wedding, (we missed you! Even if we did not know at the time we got married, our future selves would have invited you!) here is some of the Scripture that was read:
(did you read it? Go back and read it - it is Truth) and here is a picture:
and here is another little graphic I made to sum up the whole three years of marriage thus far (because I can clearly do that in one little graphic, especially a graphic I made in under an hour)
One of the things that I love most about Ian (and there are a lot) is his practical theology. What Ian believes to be true about God and Life, he lives. Part of his practical theology includes calling me out when I say one thing and do another (and that has happened plenty of times in the last three years).
Ian's theology is not some thought that gives him warm and fuzzy feelings and he learned as a child. He thinks deeply about life and the world we live in. Ian makes choices not based on ease of carrying out his actions, but what is best. Ian does not leave people where they are. He pushes them towards Truth. (He usually tries to be gentle at this, but there are times he drags me kicking and screaming to Jesus).
The best part of Ian's theology is unconditional love and grace. I am pretty sure I did not even understand grace when we got married. He has dumped it on me in the bucket loads over the years. And yet, when it is my turn to give grace to Ian, it rarely happens. He does not give up on me. He continues to show me grace. Basically, Ian rocks.
And he rubs my feet at night and buys me ice cream. It does not get better than that.
To God be the Glory! He is the reason that we have made it thus far and He is reason that we will continue onward.
For your continued reading pleasure:
Two Year Anniversary (it is a bunch of pictures)
One Year Anniversary (that time we went to Busan and saw sand castles)

Happy Birthday Grandpa!
Yay! Today is my Grandpa's birthday. He is currently recovery from knee replacement surgery, so I am not sure if he will see this or not. But if you are reading it, can you say a prayer that he will continue to recover well? Thank you :-)
Do you know what they say about birthdays? The more you have, the longer you live. (I think my Grandpa writes in my birthday card every year)
And to sign-off, I will leave you with his wise words (that he ends emails with): Don't do anything you wouldn't do on a bicycle!

Anticipation
The anticipation is building! There are some the pretty exciting events coming in the near future:
1.) Tomorrow - As of Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 we have been married for 500 days! Yeah! Praise God that He has sustained us, provided for us, been faithful to us...the list goes on and on. It has been a great 500 days, can't wait to see what the next 500 days will bring us.
2.) Half Marathon! One of the best parts about racing in Korea is that you do not have go the day before and try to use body language and broken Korean to explain who you are and what race you are running; your number and complimentary jacket are delivered. I am number 25001 and I got a cool new jacket. Sadly it does not say, "Why yes, I have run a half marathon. In South Korea." My goal for signing up for a half marathon was not let myself get out of shape over the summer, do some speed work during my training, and be ready to start training for the Daegu Marathon. Goals accomplished. A good race on Sunday is just icing on the cake...we'll see what happens.
3.) Baking and Pumpkin Spice Coffee! This may not sound exciting to those of you in America, but we got a care package today! Woot! Woot! It contained some pumpkin spice coffee
and some baking dishes!
It may have contained some Halloween candy, but that is gone already. Thanks Mom and Dad for thinking of us!
Now I need to end this blog post and I stink at conclusions, so here it is: I hope you are looking forward to some exciting events in your life too! Please tell me about them because I would love to hear about it.

Fun fact: It cost me 27 US dollars to register for a half marathon in Korea.

Happy Birthday!
Do you know my Dad? He looks like this:
Love you Dad!
Now you know him. Do you know when his birthday is? It is today.
Happy Birthday Dad!
One of my favorite memories of my Dad comes from when I was little.
Maybe this little:

I showed this picture to my students. They thought my Mom was my sister.
In case you can not tell, my Dad is tall. When I was little, I liked to hold my parents' hand if we were in a public area (I think I was scared about getting lost.) My Dad's hands were too big for me to hold, so he would just hold out one finger and I would wrap my whole hand around his one finger.
Sometimes I think my Heavenly Father does that for me. His Hand is massive, but sometimes I think he gives me a finger. I cling onto that finger with all I am, so I do not get lost.
Hope you have a great day, Dad! Love you!

Birthdays
Today is my amazing husband’s birthday! Happy Birthday to the best husband ever! And it is my college track coach's birthday (also the man that introduced me to my amazing husband!) Happy Birthday Coach P!
So, I usually bake up some delicious sweets for my amazing husband's birthday, but baking is not happening so much these days. We have to settle for store bought. As I type this, I realize that you might not know how amazing my husband really is…so don’t take my word for it. Here we go:

Attitude my husband has a great attitude about life!
Brother Did you know that Amazing husband has a twin brother? (btw Happy Birthday brother-in-law!). Amazing husband is a great brother!
Brother Did you know that Amazing husband has a twin brother? (btw Happy Birthday brother-in-law!). Amazing husband is a great brother!
Content - He is the most content person I have met. See attitude.
Discernment – Did I even know what discernment was before I met him?
Encouraging – my poor husband always has to listen to me (sometimes I complain). He is so great about finding ways and words to encourage me. He also is a great encourager to his students.

Hiking in Colorado
Generous – He is so generous. He is generous with money, time, and mercy. And if you are his wife, he is generous with mocha cream bread
Height - I always prayed that my husband would be taller than me. God answers prayers
Ice cream buyer – He always know what flavor I am craving!
Just – I feel like my amazing husband grasps justice like few others I have met. And for one so young…

Leader – I am so glad that I am not the leader. I am even gladder that he is the leader.
Monopoly typhoon - Do not play monopoly against him. Unless you want to loose
Nerd – his goal is to read 25 books this year. They are NOT fun, easy to read books
Optimistic – (See attitude) He not only sees the glass half full, he has an important lesson to learn from how full the glass is (figuratively speaking that is)
Patient – one of the first words that I think of when I think of my amazing husband is patient. He.is.so.patient. I love him!

Quick-witted: My amazing husband is quite funny, he always has me (and others) chuckling.
Respect – he has all of mine. He shows respect to others too.
Security- He structures his life around that which is eternal and cannot be taken away
Teacher – I had a hard time picking the a word for letter T (there are too many true ones..thoughtful, Truth seeker, trustworthy...you get the idea). He teaches me about the Cross, grace, and love like none other has. Oh yeah, he also teaches cute children English.
Unselfish – He always gives me the last bite. Always. Even it if his favorite dried mangos

I love this picture. I love my hubby!
Valiant – he is my knight in shining armor – he kills the bugs and goes in the dark scary places first.
Wise – sometimes he is so wise that my jaw drops. He knows the difference between wisdom and knowledge
Xtra ordinary – have I told you that I am married to an amazing man? I am!
Yummy - well he makes yuumy food! Amazing husband is an aahhmmaazzing cook!

In Korea - the best adventure ever!
Zany – he is so fun! My amazing husband can make any activity fun. even riding on an airplane for 14 hours. I am pretty sure with anyone else it would have been boring, but not with him. It was fun true.story.
